Gerrymandering

I could not read the article because it was making me pay to read it.

1. Explain the concept of gerrymandering and the three ways that it is done (wasted, excess, stacked vote).
Gerrymandering is the idea of shaping districts to benefit one political party or another. It is done in 3 ways; wasted vote, excess vote and stacked vote. A wasted vote is opposition supporters are spread across many districts but in the minority. An excess vote is opposition supporters are concentrated into a few districts. A stacked vote is distant areas of like minded voters are linked through oddly shaped boundaries.
